Vacation 2019 Raja Ampat

Hello, my name is Albert. Today ill be telling you about my vacation in 2019. First of all, I went to Raja Ampat. It was a very fun vacation.the journey started when I went to Jakarta. For some reason, Jakarta was having heavy rain, that day me and my family were going to a shop to go ad buy some swimming equipment, but on the way the rain started to got worse and the streets were getting flodded.many streets were blocked off due to the rising flood. After 35 minutes, we finally got to the shop and bought the swimming equipment.after that , we went to a fancy restaurant that was cooking up cantoneese food. After the dinner we went to the airport check in to our flights.

The flights were transits, the first oe was a two hour flight and the second was a 4 hour flight. Both of the flights are batik air, and since it was short flights ,there were sadly n entertainment systems on the flights. after the two transits, me and my family arrived at sorong. I first thought we were actualy going to spend most of the time there,but when we were headed to the docks I knew that we actualy needed to go on a speed boat, the trip was 2 hours long, but luckily none of my family members got sick during the trip. For the first 2 night we went and stayed at the Gurara Dive resort.

The first morning when I woke up, my body was tired from all the traveling from the last 12 hours.

 We went on a speed boat to go to our first spot and we went snorkeling in 4 different spots. The second day my body felt a little fresher than the morning of the first day because I actualy got to stretch my body. But the second day was the day I hated the most since it was the day we did some tracking up some geosite (for those who don’t know, tracking is technicly like walking and climbing up a mountain  or high up place). Some names of the geosites were: geosites piaynemo, Kabui etc.

The third day was my favourite day since me and my mom finally got to go scuba diving and see the beauty of the under water aquatic life of raja ampat.after we went scuba diving we went ahead and went, and bought a lobster and ate it, we couldn’t really enjoy it though because we had to gon another speedboat to head back to sorong since we are now going to head to Misol. When there we went to a homestay ontop of the water wich conveniently was owned by the husband of my mothers friend. The bad thing was that the electricity was shut off for 12 hours of the day.

When they said that we were going to do some tracking that day I was alittle upset . we were using stairs but the stairs were actualy not that good of a quality and was not yet completed  until the top of the peak, so we had to do some climbing through some rough terrain. After coming back down my body was relivedand I was surprised when my tour guide suddenly put down the bags, took off his sandals and jumped into the ocean to refresh himself. Right after him, my sister joined in as well and soon my dad came in too then I came in, my mom was hessitant though since she was afraid to go into the water  so I said I was going to hold her hand  and jump with her but the thing is, when we were running towards the edge I let go of my moms hand and let her go and she fell, right after everyone else laughed at the sight then I kept on jumping in 8 more times because it was fun.

Later that day we went ahead and went to a place called Danau ubur-ubur to get in though, we had to cross a big course for tracking. But it was all worth it since we got to go swimming in the salt water lake filled with jellyfish ( note that the jellyfish were actually stingless) after that we went back to the homestay and rested. At the night though my guide sere shooting some fireworks since it was new years yesterday and we didn’t get to celebrate.

On the third day we felt something strange, the winds were stronger than usual and the currents were flowing faster.when we were heading to the dock on our boat to supply on drinks, ice, water and etc. the waves were very big and rough. The same thing was happening when we were going to an island to go tracking on a place called puncak cinta since the deep part of the inner sea was deep while making the shape of a heart.

We went to a beach to have lunch and rest, the exciting thing is that there were actualy blacktip sharks there ( blacktips don’t actually grow to big sizes) . when we were going to head to the next location, the winds and waves picked up we agreed to go back to the homestay because the waves were too big to handle.

The next day we needed to go to sorong to head back home, so we packed the day before and rested for the ride tomorrow. Early in the morning at about 5 a.m. I woke up and got ready to leave luckily that day washaving better weather than yesterday and we could get to the docks faster and easier. While on the speedboat, we met a pioneer of misool. Back at sorong we said goodbye to our guide and headed in to the airport waiting for our plane. This time the plane was actually batik air but it wasn’t a transit and had the entertainment system, I was happy.
